Greg Frazier

Professional motorcycle adventurer Dr. Gregory W. Frazier is the only motorcyclist in the world to have four times circumnavigated the globe solo by motorcycle. No stranger to danger, his adventures around the earth include having been shot at by rebels, jailed by unfriendly authorities, bitten by snakes, run over by Pamplona bulls and smitten by a product of Adam’s rib.

Frazier’s two wheel travels have taken him over 1,000,000 miles and he has literally “ridden a motorcycle to the ends of the earth” Dead Horse, Alaska; Ushuaia, Argentina; North Cape, Norway; Cape Agulhaus, South Africa; and Bluff, New Zealand. Frazier’s work as a motorcycle journalist and professional photographer appears widely throughout the international motorcycling press.

Terry Knapp

Dr. Terry Knapp, 64, of Niwot, Colorado, is a recently retired plastic and reconstructive surgeon, international businessman and entrepreneur. His love affair with motorcycles began nearly 45 years ago with a Honda 90 for college commuting. The affair blossomed to include, over the years, an Ariel Square Four, Triumph 650 Bonneville, Honda 750, Honda Gold Wing, Yamaha 1100 cruiser, and Yamaha FJ1200 sports tourer. He avoids freeways at all costs, with his solo rides encompassing secondary roads from Florida to northern California and the Jura mountains and Alps in Switzerland, France and Italy.

In 2003, his wife presented him with a 100th anniversary Harley-Davidson Road King Classic, which he promptly took on numerous journeys including a solo 4,000 mile ride through back roads of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, California, Nevada and Utah. In 2007, he road the H-D on a 10,000 mile odyssey from Colorado to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, then around the state and through remote areas of the Yukon and British Columbia. His experience on the Dalton Highway and the lure of more remote tracks prompted the acquisition of the H-D’s new garagemate, a BMW R1200GS. He has ridden the GS through California’s Sierra Nevada and to off-road fishing locations in the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming. He is now preparing the GS for a trip to Ushuaia at the tip of Tierra del Fuego.
