Meet Bob & Viv Goddard, from the UK, middle aged grandparents with itchy feet and a sense of humour.

Not only did they ride their motorcycles on a few amazing long-distance adventures, but they also wrote two good books about their journeys;

Along the way they raised awareness for the charity EveryChild, and dedicated 'Beyond Bucharest', and all their author's royalties, to help fund more life-changing work with vulnerable children. This seemed such a good idea to them, they decided to donate all the royalties from their first book, 'Land Of The Long Wild Road' to EveryChild too.

EveryChild is an international development charity working to stop children growing up vulnerable and alone.

More than 24 million children grow up without parental care, their survival often threatened by greater risk of malnutrition, violence and exploitation; their future lost by missing out on school and their childhood.

Working with local partners they keep children safe when they are alone and at risk. They protect children who are in danger of ending up on their own, by keeping families together. And they get children back to a safe and caring family, wherever they can.
